Today Monday 16th at 8:30 in the morning efectives belonging to the Navarran Police Force, Civil Guard and Government of Navarre´s civil servants have bursted in Itoitz village in order to evict it.

Right now they are ordering the neighbours to leave at once. The light has been cut off. We call mass media to attend the eviction.

In one of the inhabited houses they have knocked down the door and ordered the inhabitant to leave before midday. Next to another of the inhabited houses the Navarran Police Forces´ special squad has placed a van onto which they have climbed to reach a window to break in. On the cross roads leading to Itoitz they´ve stablished controls to avoid solidary people entering to support the neighbours resisting.

Mr. Reta, Navarre´s Government representative for the eviction of Itoitz, has totally refused to accept any kind of responsibility for this serious situation. On the other hand, the mediators our association had proposed and the group supporting the resisting activists haven´t been acepted and being retained at the cross road near the village together with the repporters and lawyers who have also gathered here. The attitude the various police forces have showed is fully arrogant and there are being very tense moments. Several machines have entered the village and started demolishing a few buildings. Members of our association are locked in inside two of the houses, carring out the act of resisting and are unable to untie their locks and leave. To face this grave situation, charges have been pressed in Agoitz´s Court. Also in these moments we are making emergency calls to several organisations with the aim of stopping the risk the resisting locked and anchored people are under.
